800 kg of carp and 1000 kg of bream arrived in the Pinka Valley
In the first week of May, fishing continued in the iron waters. On Wednesday, another 800 kg of three-year-old carp arrived in Vas County from Marcali, and on Thursday, we managed to procure 1,000 kg of bream of mixed ages from Rétimajor.
We would like to point out in advance that stocking bream is also a significant challenge in autumn, but it is particularly risky in spring. Nevertheless, in order to strengthen the native bream stock of the Pinka stream, taking on the associated difficulties, we bought stocks of free bream available on the market for only a few days. For your information, we note that 5-10% mortality occurring after catching and transporting bream over long distances is a regrettable part of whitefish stocking, so we inform everyone that if you encounter such a mortality, it cannot be considered a mass fish kill.
The carp installation on Wednesday before the bream placement took place at the following locations:
• Pinka-holtág Iron Cross: 200 kg
• Pinka swollen Iron Cross: 100 kg
• Vaskeresztes Alpine lake (C&R): 100 kg
• Pinka- Hrátválővő inflated: 200 kg
• Pinka - St. Peter's tree: 200 kg
A total of 800 kg of bream were planted in the backwaters of the Pinka stream and on the Pinka sections involved in the stocking of carp. 200 kg of bream entered the Vaskeresztes Alpine fishing lake, enriching the fish stock of the water area, which is the main location for children's programs. This year, together with the release so far, 27,560 kg of carp have already entered federal waters in order to meet fishing needs. After the installation, a general ban was not ordered, but the specific ban on carp on the Pinka Stream and the Pinka Backwaters in Vaskeresztes and all rivers, as well as on Lake Vadása and Lake Hársas in the nature conservation area, was still not lifted, so in the water areas May 02 From . until May 31, it is forbidden to keep caught carp!
The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations will celebrate its 30th anniversary in May 2023. On the occasion of this anniversary and in order to encourage the sale of annual fishing tickets, with the approval of the Administrative Committee, our fishing ticket promotion applied in January will be announced again for the period between May 01, 2023 and May 31, 2023.
