Dear fellow anglers!

We cordially invite the 1st-12th placed teams that successfully participated in the correspondence round to the on-site final of the XX. VASI VIZEKEN Primary School Fishing Competition, as we indicated in our previous letter when announcing the results of the correspondence round. The on-site round will be held on June 11, 2025 (Wednesday) starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Vaskeresztes Fishing Tourism Center (9795 Vaskeresztes 165/4.hrsz.).

For the on-site theoretical competition, each team should bring writing instruments and scissors for any DIY tasks.

During the on-site theoretical competition, we primarily aim to explore the knowledge acquired about fish and fishing rules by solving test-type tasks. Recommended literature for preparation:

The planned course of the on-site competition:

8.30-8.40 Arrival, registration (Fishing Tourism Center - Event Space)

8.40-8.50 Opening

8.50-9.50 Solving a theoretical problem

9.50-10.30 Preparation for the fishing competition – Alpine Lake

10.30-12.30 Fish Catching Competition (11.00-11.30 Sandwich pack provided for lunch)

12.30-13.30 Evaluation

14.00 Announcement of results

Fishing competition rules:

- Teams will be randomly assigned a starting point suitable for 2 people to fish, where they are allowed to fish.

- Teams can only participate in the competition with at least 1 helper (e.g. teacher, parent).

- Teams can fish with 1 3 m and 1 4 m fishing rod provided by the Fishing Association or with their own 1 3 m and 1 4 m tip rod without rubber.

- In each team, two young people can fish at the same time, and the other two young people can help.

- We provide 4 rigs for each team. (So there is 1 spare rig per rod) Each team can bring spare rigs and accessories at their own discretion. (Eg.: hook, lead, float, etc.), as well as a non-rubberized max. 4 m tip rod.

- Each team must provide their own bait and feeding material. (A maximum of 2 kg of bait can be used.) Bait can be anything that can be used to catch carp, bream and crucian carp.

- Fish will be judged by weight, so each team should bring at least 1 ring net . The winner of the fishing competition will be the team that catches the most fish by weight.

- 1 hook releaser is required per team!

The final result of the competition will be determined as follows:

Final result of the correspondence round + On-site theoretical round + Fishing competition ranking = Total ranking. The team with the lowest total ranking wins (In the event of a dead heat, the final result of the correspondence round will decide).
