The 1st semi-final of the V. Rakós Botos Carp Catching OB will be held between 7–9 August 2026 on the privileged competition water of Lukácsháza, on the shores of Lake Abért. The semi-final is the stage of the championship where stable performance is not enough: here, subtle technical differences and tactical discipline decide who advances.
The unique character of Lake Abért requires concentrated, precise pole fishing. The key to success is precise feeding, consistent use of tackle, and timely recognition of the fish-catching rhythm.
Carp behavior often varies from sector to sector, so competitors must constantly react to changing conditions, while every fish caught represents serious value in the tight field. The multi-day event is particularly challenging for concentration and mental stamina.
The 1st semi-final of the 5th Rakós Rod Carp Fishing Championship is clearly a battle for the top spot, where experience, patience and sophisticated technique come to the fore. The competition in Lukácsháza gives an authentic picture of who is able to apply the methods of Rakós rod carp fishing at a high level at a competitive level, even under pressure.
