Juhász Porta is the reimagining and rebirth of a house built in the 1950s, at the Őrség gate in Kerkafalva.

What is embodied by the love of two people and the progress of their lives in the same direction. It originally started as a beautiful shared home, but then our work still tied us to the big city. That is why we decided to share this wonderful place with all those who desire the beauty of this region and who can experience the calm and peace that we feel every time we visit here.

Thus, Juhász Porta was reborn as a guest house, with such thorough care as if we had built it just for ourselves.

The Guard and Kerk Village

Őrség is one of the most secluded landscapes in our country. For this reason, the guard traditions can still be discovered in customs, gastronomy and buildings. If you want to hike through an authentic Hungarian landscape, Őrség is the perfect choice!

In the forest-covered landscape, you will find wonderful small villages and hiking opportunities.

Kerkafalva, a small village with a population of 112, located in the northwestern tip of Zala county, at the gate of the beautiful regions of Őrség and Göcsej. It got its current name during the merger of two settlements, Kerkanémetfalu and Kerkapéntekfalu, in 1943. The settlement borders the territory of the Őrségi National Park, so the peace, quiet, tranquility and endless magical landscapes that are desired by many await the guests who visit here.
