Fish stocking has begun in the Vásárlón waters

Preparing for the fishing season starting in early spring, our association took advantage of the favorable market opportunity and carried out the first fish stocking of this year on February 4th from the Mikei site of Tógazda Zrt.

During the stocking, a total of 5,800 kg of selected mixed bream was placed in 12 still waters, in addition, the Gencsapati Fishing Lake was enriched with 250 kg of carp and – based on official permission – 50 kg of grass carp, and as a replacement for last year's stocking, which was cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions, a total of 300 kg of bream was placed in the Nagypiriti Gravel Mine Lake and the Herpenyő Stream.

The mixed whitefish stock of different sizes not only provides fishing opportunities for our anglers, but also provides the individuals of the large-scale predator stocking carried out last year with an adequate feed base, helping to ensure the necessary condition for spawning. The next stocking is planned to be 600 kg of pike, which will further strengthen the predator stocking of the Vásárhely waters.

The cooperation agreement signed between MOHOSZ and our Association in December allows daily, weekly and annual fishing tickets issued for Vás waters to be valid for the Döröskei Reservoir from January 1, 2025 - without having to exchange for a separate regional ticket. ( We wrote about this in detail here. ) It is important to mention that this year the Vás territorial tickets did not increase in price, and thus the number of water areas available for fishing did not decrease, despite the fact that the local government will utilize the Sárvíz Lake in Gersekarát itself from February 1, 2025.

Further useful information:

From January, personal administration (e.g. ticket exchange, fishing card application, etc.) will be possible at the Association's customer service office in Vaskeresztő by prior appointment. Appointments can be requested by phone at +36 94-506-835; +36 70 3399 703, or by e-mail at info@vasivizeken.hu. After that, colleagues will continue to be at the disposal of fellow anglers in 2024 according to the following customer service order:

✅ Monday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;
✅ Tuesday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;
✅ Wednesday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;
✅ Thursday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;
✅ Friday: 8:15 AM – 2:45 PM;
❎ Saturday-Sunday: no customer service.
