2900 kg of bream arrived in Vasi Vizek!

Last Friday, another fishing day was organized by our Association: after the carp stocking, this time a total of 2,900 kilograms of viable, two-year-old bream were placed in the county's popular fishing waters.

The fish arriving from the Mikei site of Tógazda Fishing Co. Ltd. arrived with the partial support of the Hungarian National Fishing Association (MOHOSZ) within the framework of the Stock Replenishment and Development Target Appropriation (ÁPFE-VII-4/2025). The aim of the stocking is to strengthen and maintain the native fish population of the fishing waters.

During Friday, the following water areas were enriched with fresh stock of sablefish:

Vasvár lakes – 400 kg
Szombathely Boating Lake – 450 kg
Szombathely Fishing Lake – 350 kg
Újperint gravel pit – 450 kg
Gencsapáti Fishing Lake – 350 kg
Celldömölk Brick Factory and Park Lake – 400 kg
Csánig Gravel Mine Lake – 500 kg

During the installation, which took place on a sunny, calm autumn day, the fish quickly took possession of their new habitat, and several anglers reported the first appearance of the “fresh residents” over the weekend.
This stocking was the first phase of the autumn fishing program, which will be followed by further stocking of bream, tench and predatory fish (pike, zander) in the Vasi Vizes in the coming weeks. The Association has already stocked more than 50 tons of carp in 2025, mostly three-summer carp, so anglers can catch plenty of bream this year and then catch prey in the fall.

We ask our fellow anglers to comply with the rules of the local fishing regulations in order to protect the newly established bream stock, thereby helping to ensure the natural growth of next year's stock.

Remember: the discounted summer ticket is still available, offering discounted fishing opportunities in federal waters until January 31, 2026.

From January, personal administration (e.g. ticket exchange, fishing card application, etc.) will be possible at the Association's customer service office in Vaskeresztő by prior appointment. Appointments can be requested by phone at +36 94-506-835; +36 70 3399 703, or by e-mail at info@vasivizeken.hu. After that, colleagues will continue to be at the disposal of fellow anglers in 2025 according to the following customer service order:

✅ Wednesday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;
✅ Thursday: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM;

❎ Saturday-Sunday: no customer service.
