The “brick factory lake” of Csepreg
ShareThe lake was formed approximately by the end of the 1960’s. The original area of the pond was 0,5 hectares, but in the early 1990’s it was extended by dredging, that is how it reached its present size. It was thoroughly refurbished in 2011 by the Association.
The lake is located in the North-western side of Csepreg, a few hundred meters from the residential area. The small, but yet more lovely fishing lake has big stock of carp and types of bream. The pond is surrounded by reeds. The base of the lake is incredibly diverse, in the original area it is 6-7 metres-, while the refurbished part is only 1-1,5 metres deep. Looking around, there are plenty of comfortable fishing spots that are maintained by the local fishermen. On the shore, the vegetation is characterized by smaller bushes and narrow tree branches.
The lake is well accessible through a road, and there is a designated car park next to the lake, too.
