Lake I. of Szombathely – Újperint
ShareOne of the still waters around Szombathely is the pebble lake of Újperint. The district of Újperint is located in the southern, south-western part of Szombathely. Although the city is nearby, the area is quiet and close to the nature. There was 4 pebble mine lakes built decades ago.
Of these, lake I. (next to BPW Hungária Kft.) is suitable for fishing. Its base is rough, slightly muddy. The water is 1,3 meters deep on average, somewhere with seaweed, but easy to fish. The lake is almost rectangular in shape, but despite its artificial form, the shore is bordered by reed, where anglers have created well-groomed places.
With bobbing, it is a pleasant entertainment to go for the huge stock of the 10-15 dkg breams. The enormous walleye stock is witnessed by the beautiful specimens caught.
