The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Anglers' Associations has now, for the eleventh time, organized its competition series entitled The Best Sport Fishing Angler in Vas Waters in the hobby and competition fishing category in 2020.

After ten years, the increasingly popular competition series also grew with an excellent main sponsor, Decathlon Hungary , last year. Thanks to the cooperation with the Decathlon Sports Store in Szombathely, the most successful competitors in last year's and this year's fishing competitions were enriched with valuable Decathlon gift vouchers in addition to goblets and medals.

Despite the difficulties caused by the crown virus, all rounds of the race series were held except for one race. Last year was also characterized by balanced, sport-like racing. On several occasions in the days before the race, he had to close pre-registration due to oversubscriptions.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to hold the traditional end-of-year award ceremony last December due to the epidemiological situation, so it was time to hand over the goblets at the beginning of yesterday's first presidency meeting of the Association. Norbert Puskás, the executive president of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Anglers' Associations, said in his greeting yesterday that in the hobby category, at least 2 rounds had to be participated in the 3 rounds in order to evaluate the fisherman's results in the competition series. The ranking was based on the 2 best results achieved in the given 3 rounds, in case of achieving the same score, the result achieved in the third round decided when determining the final result.

A total of 52 people started in the adult and youth hobby categories. In the case of adults, a former winner, Gábor Bálint (Körmendi Munkás HE.) Became the champion again. In the second place, Máté Márk Koltai (Kéthatár-tó HE.) From Zala, who was recently "aging" from the youth category, graduated. Three people also finished with a tie in the bronze medal place. This time the best third result according to the competition announcement was in favor of László Pajtli (Spartacus HE.) , Who, after his 2018 championship title, could now enjoy a third place.

The awards were presented by the president of the Association, Miklós Seregi, and the vice-president, László Laki , to the competitors who appeared at the award ceremony and to the leaders of the association who replaced them.
Among the youngsters, with great hair, the youngest member of the field, Bors Ivett (Spartacus HE.) Managed to win. In the second place Balázs Bence Tukarcs (Spartacus HE.) , In third place Dávid Sánta (Körmendi Munkás HE.) .

In the competitor category, all competitions were held, so the entrants had to take part in a minimum of 3 of the 5 possible rounds in order for the result of the sport fisherman to be included in the competition series. The evaluation system was similar to the other category, here the final ranking will be based on the 3 best results obtained in the given 5 rounds. If the same score is reached, the fourth best result is achieved, in case of further equality, the result of the fifth round decides. If the final result cannot be decided even then, the total catch calculated on the basis of the catch weights for the rounds taken into account was authoritative.

In the racing category, 36 anglers measured themselves during the season. The winner of last year's county competition series was the county champion of the year 2020, Zoltán Török (Elektromosok SHE.) , Who finished second in the composite three times in the last 5 years. Zsolt Horváth (HE. Szentgotthárd), who started as the reigning champion, had to reach the second place this time. Attila Vámos (Spartacus HE.) Reached the bottom of the podium with a balanced performance all year round.
