Zoltán Olcsai-Kiss had a school fishing demonstration at Gersekarát
The third graders of Zoltán Olcsai-Kiss Primary School in Körmend took part in an exciting trip to the picturesque Gersekarát Sárvíz lake. Nearly 60 children came here to learn the basics of fishing and enjoy waterside adventures.
The children excitedly gathered in the shade of the trees, and then the first program began . Deputy Mayor Babos Andrea Gersekarát greeted the young people, the head of the Vas County Association of Sports Fishing Associations and the fishing guards participating in the demonstration fishing program. The children sitting on the rest benches by the lake listened attentively to Norbert Puskás , who in the first part of the program presented the basics of fishing equipment and explained the basic rules related to fishing with children.
After the quick introduction, the two classes were divided into four teams and the giant fishing puzzle competition began. Laughter and excitement filled the air as the children worked together to solve the problems. In the end, the "Dragonfly team" won the puzzle game, but everyone could feel like a winner thanks to the shared experiences.
5-5 pairs of the teams tested themselves in land fishing for plush fish. The excitement of the competition and playing together with friends captivated everyone. Laughter and cheerful shouts filled the air as everyone tried to collect as many "fish" as possible. The most successful team in the competition was "Hal FC" with 40 fish caught.
At the end of the program in the morning, there was an opportunity for real fishing with the help of the present fishing guards. During the spearfishing, the children waited excitedly to see who would catch a fish first. Thanks to the lake's rich population of small fish, almost every young person managed to catch a small bream, crucian carp, and bream [. The joy and pride of the children was almost palpable, as most of them had their first fishing experience, which they will surely remember for a long time.
At the end of the nearly two-hour program, the teams gathered for the results announcement. Each team received a certificate and a small gift from the Association, reminding them of this special waterside experience. This day was not only about learning the basics of fishing, but also about the children taking part in an unforgettable summer adventure, which was a perfect introduction to the summer vacation.
After fishing, the second part of the program continued on the free beach of Sárvíz lake with a delicious lunch and beach games.
