This year, on the occasion of Christmas, we supported Gréta's Mi Hősünk Foundation
As the largest non-profit civil association of Vas County, we have been trying to help good causes and our fellow human beings in various ways for years - around Christmas - so that their holiday can be more beautiful with the help provided to them. As an organization operating in the Pinka Valley, this year we chose Gréta a Mi Hősünk Foundation. The goal of the Foundation is for Gréta Geosits to live a full life as soon as possible!
Next year, at the December meeting of the presidency of our Association, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, it was decided that the Association will give the "Gréta a Mi Hősünk" Foundation a one-time donation of HUF 80,000 at Christmas time, and in the 30th anniversary year - until April 30, 2023, every "1" sold contributes HUF 200 to the goals of the Foundation after an adult county annual ticket.
Gréta and her family live in Pornóapáti. Greta was still in kindergarten when the disease was discovered. The disease - its name is cerebral aneurysm - is very dangerous, because the balloons on the vessel wall can burst at any time. You can't do anything strenuous, and it's better to avoid even catching a cold. Today, he is in the fourth grade at the Upper Czatár school, and has been studying as a private student in an individual curriculum since the third grade. His father, Norbert Geosits, and his mother, Geosits-Obersinner Klotild, work in alternating shifts at the MAM factory in Vaskerzeste, so that there is always someone at home with the child. The grandparents are too old and cannot be involved in the daily tasks of the family. You also have to study with Greta, she has physiotherapy in the mornings and gets improvements. Gréta's two surgeries so far have been successful, but she also has several aneurysms, which is why additional surgeries are needed, cerebral aneurysms can only be operated on one at a time. Unfortunately, the surgery supported by the OEP is no longer available in Hungary, so they are forced to look for a solution abroad. In order to smoothly finance the surgeries abroad, the parents created a foundation through which anyone can contribute to Gréta's recovery. Abroad, such an intervention privately costs 60,000 euros, and Gréta still has seven or eight surgeries left.
Last Tuesday afternoon, Gréta and her family personally accepted the offer of the Vasi fishing community, which was handed over by executive president Norbert Puskás on behalf of the organization.
