They fished together for the fifth time during the integrated fishing afternoon

The Vas County Association of Sports Fishing Associations and the Vas County ÉFOÉSZ Association organized the friendly Decathlon Integrated Fishing Afternoon on the Vasi Waters for the fifth time in cooperation. This year's fishing competition was once again a special event that highlighted the value of fishing and togetherness. On this day, fishermen and people with disabilities formed teams together to compete together and enjoy the beauty of nature. The competition was hosted by the Boating Lake in Szombathely.

After the registration held at half past two in the afternoon, Norbert Puskás, the executive president of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations, greeted the participants and expressed his joy that we can meet again at this traditional joint program. Afterwards, Rita Juranovits-Racker, the professional head of FÉHE, thanked the Association and the fishermen present for giving them the opportunity to participate in the program.

The participants, together with their pre-determined helper, could fish in the designated fishing spot with uniform Caperlan equipment for 2 hours. 16 teams entered the competition, the competitors represented a mixed age group and fishing experience, which also contributed to the diversity of the competition. After the initial sound of the bagpipes, the first breams and small groupers appeared on the hooks. During the competition, the anglers and their disabled partner worked in coordination to achieve the best possible result. Even during the competition, there will be close results, because there were fish of similar size in almost the same number at all fishing spots. Of course, there were also those who seemed to know the fish of the Szombathely Boating Lake well.

Miklós Molnár, his partner Norbert Málovics and Miklós Gábor Horváth with last year's well-accustomed fishing caught 1620 grams of bream, which was enough for the second place on the podium this year.

Balázs Szekeres and the team of the residents of the Horvátzsidányi Otthon preceded them with two wonderful fish and some smaller fish, their catch was 2000 grams.

The difference between third and fourth place was only 20 grams. The team of György Zsankó and Réka Molnár and Gábor Banga finished in the bronze medal position with 940 grams, while Zoltán Endrődy and Edina Bozzay and Kristóf Martonfi finished fourth with a catch of 920 grams.

The announcement of the results was an exciting moment where all teams could proudly receive their awards and recognitions. The first three teams stood out for their achievements during the competition, but all participants were praised for their cooperation and togetherness.

The organizers hope that this tradition will continue and that even more communities can enjoy the joy of fishing. True to the traditions of previous years, the program ended with a joint group photo.
