There was a traditional children's fishing competition on Lake Répcelaki
On Sunday, August 25, the Répcelak Municipal Miners' Fishing Association organized a traditional children's fishing competition at the Répcelak lake. At the competition, the young anglers, who were randomly drawn into pairs, could compare their skills in pairs and individual categories. After the morning briefing, the competition started at 8 o'clock.
The most beautiful fish were soon hooked, while Erika, András and Zoli offered sandwiches and cold drinks to the children, as well as to the supporting parents and grandparents. The competition ended at noon, but before that we were invited several times to weigh the bigger catches.
The deliberation was exciting among the young people, followed by the evaluation of the results and the long-awaited results announcement.
Even results:
1st place: Buthi Benjamin and Hanna Firisz - 31,860 g
2nd place: Halász Martin and Boglárka Nagy - 24,630 g
3rd place: Barnabás Boros and Boglárka Takács - 13,840 g
Individual results:
1st place: Buthi Benjamin - 22,000 g
2nd place: Halász Martin - 21,070 g
3rd place: Barnabás Boros - 13,840 g
Special prizes:
- Most successful girl: Firisz Hanna (9,860 g)
- Biggest fish caught: Barnabás Boros (58 cm carp)
The oldest and youngest girl and boy competitors also received special gifts.
After the announcement of the results, the Répcelaki City Miner's Fishing Association treated all participants to a plate of delicious, warm food prepared by chef Zoltán Kiss. After lunch, the ice cream truck arrived, from which all children received free ice cream courtesy of György Szalai.
All children were able to return home with many experiences and gifts, thanks to the many supporters and donors. The association would also like to thank the helpers for their work and support!
