The trout have arrived again in Vaskeresztes for the winter
On December 2, 2024, for the start of the winter season, approx. We planted 350 rainbow trout with an average weight of 30 dkg in the Alpine lake located at the Alpine Hotel and Fishing Tourist Center in Vaskerestes. The purpose of the installation is to allow winter lake anglers to continue to indulge their passion. On our lake, fishing based on the "catch and release" principle is available to everyone during the ice-free period, just like last year. During the installation, K&K Oil Kft., which rents the Vaskereszestes Trout Farm, takes the fish. provided, and its managing director, Csaba Kállai, personally contributed to the placement.
In addition to the continuous stocking of carp and serving peaceful fish anglers, our Association continues to pay special attention to the development of the predatory fish stock, as well as to the promotion of spinning, light spinning (UL) and fly fishing methods. These techniques have become more and more widespread in recent years, but the opportunities for practicing and preparing for light spinning competitions are still limited for beginner anglers in our country. It is no different in the field of lake trout fishing: only a few locations in Hungary offer such an experience.
The rainbow trout is a non-native species from North America that can only be introduced into waters that are not connected to other water bodies under strict regulations. Accordingly, we obtained the necessary official permits for installation this year as well.
According to our local fishing regulations, winter fishing rules on the Alpesi lake are in effect until February 28 of the following year, which are as follows:
- Fishing is permitted only with 1 rod, beardless hook - artificial bait - spinning and fly method.
- The use of all kinds of artificial rubber bait (twister, grub, worm, crab, rubber fish, etc.) is PROHIBITED!
- When fishing with artificial bait, it is mandatory to use knot-free or rubberized diving mouths!
- All caught fish must be carefully freed from the hook and released back into the water as soon as possible - avoiding touching them with your hands - and, if possible, the hook must be unhooked with metal tweezers or pliers.
- You can fish from sunrise to sunset, or until the street lights are turned on! Fishing in the dark is FORBIDDEN!
The area is constantly under camera surveillance, so we pay particular attention to compliance with the rules.
Ticket prices and conditions:
- Annual, weekly or daily "I." anglers with a federal territory ticket can use the lake free of charge. For those with a state fishing license, the following ticket prices are valid until December 31, 2025:
- Adult C&R (over 18): HUF 1,500
- Replenishment C&R (under 18): HUF 1,000
These ticket types do not entitle you to take fish; all fish caught must be gently released back into the water.
