The Alliance's fishing camp was a great success again this year

Performances, swimming, hiking, fish frying by the evening campfire, throwing competition and lots and lots of fishing - such programs awaited the children at the traditional summer camp of the Iron County Association of Sport Fishing Associations, which ran from 26 July to 30 July in Iron Cross. The camp involved 33 children in a residential and day care system from all parts of the county.

The Alliance's fishing camp was a great success again this year

Our fishing camp started on Monday morning, 23 of them in a sheltered system, the others came as daycare, but they also usually stayed until evening, it was difficult for the children to get away from the fishing rods that day. The Alpine fishing lake in Vaskeresztes was planted several times during the year, and thanks to this and the skill of the campers, some of them were just beyond the first carp catch, the Amur.

The next morning the program continued with a room and tent competition, as well as with practice throwing, then in the afternoon Balázs Németh gave a very interesting feeder fishing demonstration, and finally, of course, a non-stop peca.

A little later, our youth committee member Péter Kovács joined our camp management team, giving a fine-grained fishing demonstration on Wednesday morning. Youngsters were able to try out one of the excellent methods of competitive fishing is stacking.

Due to the great heat, after lunch, the guys had two program options: one half of the team went to the beach, the other half was prepared for the camp fishing competition. Late in the afternoon we held a fishing competition, which was also visited by the staff of Szombathely Television.

At the Alpine Inn, the usual excellent dinner awaited the young people, followed by evening fishing. At the end of the evening, our fishing friend Tibor Monos baked bream and catfish for the young people, which we thank again.

On Thursday, the day started with a morning tournament courtesy of Péter Kovács, followed by a quick breakfast at the Alpine Inn and departure for a fishing trip on Lake Abért by bus. The mood of the fish in Lake Abért was very good, so the young people had great experiences.

Carp, bream, crucian carp came, there was something that even yanked the pecabot. Late in the afternoon we held the announcement of the results of the fishing competition and the room order competition, where the young people won a lot of sweets and soft drinks. The best pecans also received valuable fishing gear. To expand their fishing knowledge, each camper also received an excellent fishing book in addition to the memorial card.

Linter Hunor took the lead in the camp fishing competition, while Márton Szecsődi took the second place, Patrik Pulay could hang the bronze medal around his neck. Of course, the last night ended with a pecan, followed by a quick tidying up in the morning and a little fishing until lunch.

We would like to thank Ákos Kovács, Szabolcs Kádi, Márk Máté Koltai, Péter Kovács and Balázs Szekeres for their help in organizing the camp! Thanks also to the team of the Alpine Inn for the delicious food and hospitality!
We wish all young people another pleasant summer!

The VASI VIZEKEN Fishing Camp was implemented with the partial support of the MOHOSZ Fisherman's Youth Education Program.
