School sports fishing courses in the county of Vas
Thanks to the support of MOHOSZ, in the 2022/2023 academic year, 83 school-age children in Vas county could participate in school sport fishing courses.
For the first time, MOHOSZ announced support for school sport fishing courses for the 2019/2020 school year, in the framework of which MOHOSZ provided the educational materials necessary to hold the courses, as well as the fishing articles necessary for practical training, and it was also possible to apply for financial support for the personal allowance of the contributors. for partial remuneration. In the year 2022, there were 67 school-based professional competitions held nationally, of which 6 were held in the county of Vas.
The fishing candidates expanded their knowledge base with a lot of knowledge and information, thanks to the professional circle leaders. During the sessions, they were able to learn about the following areas: the history of fishing, its rules and the necessary fishing documents; with the special and Vas county rules for child anglers; with different fishing rods, reels and their use; with other equipment necessary for fishing, such as the installation of floats, weights, leads and various feeding baskets; the different fish species, their way of life, their nutrition, the main characteristics of the fish, how they can be distinguished from other similar fish, as well as the native, invasive and alien fish species were taken into account by the circuit leaders.
Of course, the practical tasks could not be left out either, mixing feed material, throwing at the target, as well as fishing demonstrations and joint fishing as the closing of the professional rounds. In the previous school year, a fishing test was also held in Celldömölk as the end of the professional courses. The closing program in Sárvár was the experience report of selected method feeder competitor Áron Balogh , which he gave about the Method Feeder World Championship in South Africa, and he also explained the basics of feeder rod fishing to the children.
The 2023/2024. next year in our county, a sport fishing course is expected to start in the elementary schools of the following settlements, which interested young people are warmly welcome to attend within the school framework: Celldömölk, Győrvár, Rábapaty, Répcelak, Rum, Sárvár.
In addition to the basic knowledge of fishing, the children will be enriched with many experiences within the framework of the professional circles, we hope that we can welcome them as active anglers or competitors in the iron waters in the future.
