Last year, our Association was the main or co-director of 15-20 events in the field of competitive sports. Our competition calendar is ready for this year as well, this time the pecs will have plenty of opportunities to test themselves.

The previously established excellent partnership with the TackleBait Fishing Store and pet food store and Garbolino Wholesale will continue in 2024, thanks to which anglers who place in our competitions will receive valuable shopping vouchers and gifts in addition to the usual souvenirs.

At our competitions, professional anglers can compete according to national regulations, while more permissive rules apply to hobby anglers. The stated goal of the hobby category is for as many fellow anglers as possible to try the competition in a friendly environment. For them, both the float and bottom method are allowed, while for the competitors, you can only fish with the float method.

Participation in our county fishing competitions is possible for adults, regardless of category, by paying an entry fee. Those who want to participate in all rounds and pay their entry fee in one sum by April 10, 2024, will have to pay HUF 2,000/person/round. So, in the hobby category, the entry fee for the 4 rounds, paid in one sum by April 10, 2024, is only HUF 8,000. If someone would only participate in a few competitions in the series, they can pay their entry fees separately - depending on available places - up to the registration deadline before the competition inclusive. In this case, the entry fee is HUF 3,000/person/round.

A total of 5 rounds will be held in the competitive category, of which the County Team Championship counts as two rounds. Since entry to this competition is free of charge, competitors only have to pay the entry fee for the other three rounds.

In the youth category, those who have not turned 19 by December 31 of the current year can enter, for them our competitions are still free.

It is not possible to pay the entry fee on site, on the day of the competition! Please pay the entry fee to the Association's bank account number 72100237-11042428 as soon as possible after registration, but no later than within 5 working days. It is absolutely necessary to include the name of the competition and the competitor's name in the reference notice! (For example: János Kiss – Abért Cup, Karát Cup or in case of entry for the whole series: János Kiss – Vasi Vizeken competition series)

If someone does not have a bank account, or for some reason it is problematic for them to pay by bank transfer, in that case it is possible to pay in cash at the Vassekresztes office.

In terms of competition rules, no major changes were made this time, only a minor addition was made, which reads exactly as follows:

Feed material - after pouring, in a ready-to-use state - a maximum of 20 liters and a maximum of 2.5 liters of bait can be used. ( max.: 0.5 liters of feeding mosquito larvae , in addition to 1/8 size /0.125 l/ bait container, the quantity of earthworms is max. 0.5 liters) - The limit of feeding material may contain a maximum of 1 liter of dry powder materials, which are exclusively can be the following: TTX, Liant a Coller, Litou, bone and feed material glue, powder aroma, gravel and powdery soil, which must be presented in a separate bucket or official measuring container during the limit check.

Furthermore, we would like to draw the attention of competing anglers to the fact that from 2024, the competition rules of the national championships will be in a new, unified structure. In addition to the change in form, the content of the freestyle method feeder VSZ has also been changed at some points, in line with the international competition regulations. From the specified rounds, a minimum of 3 rounds per category must be taken in order for the sports angler's result to be evaluated in the competition series. Anyone can participate in the competition series, but only the results of the members of the member organizations of the Vas County Federation of Sportfishing Associations are included in the overall evaluation.

The end-of-season winners of the categories will receive the wanderer's cup and the title "Best Sport Angler of Vasi Vizek 2024" . Furthermore, the first-place winners of the competitive and hobby categories will win an annual area ticket valid for the year 2025 for the fishing waters managed by the Association, among other valuable gifts.

In addition to adults, we definitely count on children and youth anglers as well. At each competition, we also award separate prizes to those under the age of 18 in the hobby youth category.

We are also announcing the County Individual Youth Championship in 2024, the one-day competition will be held in parallel with the County Team Championship on September 21 at Lake Abért. Junior (U25) competitors who are members of an association of the Vas County Fishing Association can compete in the youth championship. Those of both genders who have not turned 25 by December 31 of the year preceding the championship can participate in the U25 age group.

On June 23rd, we will hold the County Youth Fishing Tournament on the Celldömölki lake, this time in two categories, which are called "Adult" (10-14 years old) and "One-year" (14-18 years old) fantasy. In addition to the souvenirs, competitors who have achieved 1-3 places in each category will be enriched with fishing gifts. In addition, the first three high school winners of the "One-year" category of the competition can participate in the finals of the MOHOSZ 2024 National Angling Competition, to be held in the summer, free of charge and with full board (accommodation, meals), with the exception of travel costs.

Just like last year, this year too, the entry interface for hobby (adult, youth) and competitor categories was created separately from each other. Please pay due attention to submitting your entry in the correct category!
We can accept the entries of 35-50 people per location, so it's not worth delaying!
