Nearly 600 trout arrived to the delight of sport fishermen
In addition to the continuous stocking of carp and serving peaceful fish anglers, our Association aims to develop the predator stock in natural waters and to expand the possibilities of spinning, light spinning (UL) and fly fishing. The latter methods have undergone significant development in the last decade, however, the opportunities for beginner anglers to practice and to prepare for the increasingly popular light spinning competitions in our county, and even nationally, are limited. There are also few places available for lake trout fishing in Hungary.
For these purposes, based on the current legislation and with the permission of the national fish management authority, our association planted 150 kg of rainbow trout, with an average weight of approximately 25 dkg, in the Alpine lake located at the Alpine Hospitality and Fishing Tourism Center in Vaskerzeste. During the winter ice-free period, anyone can enjoy the experience of trying lake trout fishing on our lake, which operates on the "catch and release" principle.
The trout were provided by K&K Oil Kft., the tenant of the Vaskeresztes Trout Farm, whose managing director, Csaba Kállai, personally helped with the installation.
The official license is justified because the rainbow trout is a non-native species of North American origin, which can only be planted in waters not connected to other water areas if the prescribed conditions are met.
The last Steering Committee meeting of our association unanimously adopted the winter rules for the water area, which we will apply from December 1, 2023.
Perhaps the most important is the limitation of the tools that can be used, based on which between December 1st and the last day of February, fishing is only allowed with 1 rod, beardless hook - artificial bait - spinning and fly method. The use of all kinds of artificial rubber bait (twister, grub, worm, crab, rubber fish, etc.) is PROHIBITED! When fishing with artificial bait, it is mandatory to use knot-free or rubberized diving mouths! All caught fish must be carefully freed from the hook and released back into the water as soon as possible - avoiding touching them with your hands - and, if possible, the hook must be unhooked with metal tweezers or pliers. You can fish from sunrise to sunset, or until the street lights are turned on! Fishing in the dark is FORBIDDEN! The area is under 24-hour camera surveillance!
The “I.” holders of a federal - annual - weekly - daily - regional ticket can fish free of charge.
The following prices apply to holders of a state fishing license until December 31, 2023:
- Adult C&R (over the age of 18): HUF 800
- Replenishment C&R (under the age of 18): HUF 400
The above regional fishing license types do not entitle you to take fish away, all fish must be gently released back into the water immediately after the catch!
