Lake Vassurányi became the property of the municipality

The good news was announced at 3 pm on Saturday, the family day of the settlement, by Mayor Dániel Forrai, who emphasized that their very old dream had come true and that the transfer of ownership was literally preceded by decades of waiting.

The lake is important not only for anglers, but also for all those who love iron, and even for everyone in the area - and everyone who loves the beautiful environment, nature, loves to relax.

"The current success, that is, the fact that the state has transferred ownership to the settlement for free, is also about the strength of the community, so let us be very proud of that, let's appreciate our lake," the mayor said, thanking everyone involved said.

Norbert Puskás, the executive chairman of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Anglers' Associations, Péter Ágh, Member of Parliament and Károly Mészáros, chairman of the Vassurányi SHE, received letters of thanks from the representatives of the local government.

In his greeting, Managing President Norbert Puskás was also pleased that the settlement was able to establish a fishing association a few years ago, which now has 34 children and almost twice as many adult members; just as it is a great thing that with the local government they have acquired the ownership of a state water area and the right to fish the lake can be settled. As he pointed out, the iron fishing community gathers 11,000 pechs, while there are at least 700,000 anglers in the country. Vassurány with his fishing water has now officially joined this community. The president also assured everyone that if there were any questions about the lake, the alliance would be there and help. The lake is maintained by the Vassurányi Sport Fishing Association and the president of the association, Károly Mészáros, has promised that this will be the case in the future as well.

According to the original plans, the lake handover would of course have been at the lake, but due to the uncertain weather, all events took place in the castle park, so then Péter Ágh, Member of Parliament, also handed over the lake to the locals. Of course, all this did not detract from the significance of the event, those present sitting in the event tent were as happy with the news as if they were standing on the lake shore, as they know the lake well, all that has changed is that it is now officially theirs.

We would like to thank the Vassurányi Municipality once again for commemorating the joint work done in the last two years. We wish a lot of success to our youngest association and the fisherman-friendly Vassurányi Municipality.
