It took more than 35kg of fish to win this year’s Lake Abért Cup
Last Sunday, the last round of the county competition series entitled The Best Sport Angler of Vasi Vizek was held on Lake Abért. In the competitor category, the cup series will end next weekend with the County Individual and Team Championships. In the postponed race from spring, 60 anglers measured themselves in three categories during the weekend’s changeable weather.
After the usual technical briefing and presentation of the implementation system, the competitors took their starting places and the preparation period of almost 2 hours began. During this time, the feeds were mixed in, the equipment assembled, and the competition tactics of the day worked out in detail.
Anglers sat ashore in the Lake Abért Cup in a strong northerly wind. The course was full: in Lake I, seven juvenile peasants fought, in II, 18 racing and 35 recreational anglers tried to catch as many fish as possible. The waving gave up the lesson, it was hard to hold the bait in one place.
The fish ate better than in the south wind, for example, yet the bites came at an uneven pace, and it was difficult to catch fish this Sunday. Anyone who found the right tactics and also drew a good place was lucky enough to step out.
In the four-hour round, most of the competitors chose the stack stick method, in the hobby category the feeder technique was popular, but there were some who also tried a match stick.
Most of the fish came on the bones and corn, beautiful carp, oversized grass carp and bream caught on the hook, and the dwarf catfish also moved. This time less from Kárász came to the sack.
Several also weighed over 20 kg. The edge of the sector proved to be a good place for the competitors again, for a long time it seemed that Norbert Misák (Büki HE) won the category with a total grip of 26,780 grams on the 1st, but in the middle, in the 2nd sector, even more, 35,380 grams of fish came into the bag, making Zoltán Török (Elektromosok SHE) the first. The winner managed to catch this amount with traditional bait (corn, bone), the wind blew completely from the front, so there was no disturbing side flow, bats, crucian carp and some carp arrived as well.
József Hegedüs (Kőszegi HE, 29 940 gr) won the hobby anglers, Ivett Bors (Spartacus HE, 5520 gr) won the juniors.
In addition to the cup and medal, the podium finishers could also receive a valuable Decathlon voucher as a reward.
The most successful female competitor is Andrea Sántáné Tóth (Körmendi Munkás HE, 13,260 kg).
