FREESTYLE METHOD FEEDER CLUB TEAM The team of our Association visited OB
The Vasi Vizeken - Trabucco team received the trust and support of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations this year, thanks to which they were able to start the VI. FREESTYLE METHOD FEEDER CLUB TEAM at the National Championship held in Szeged. This year, the number of entries set a record, as 39 teams had never entered the competition before. This year, the team consisted of the competitors Gábor Hajba, Gábor Tordai, Zoltán Török and Balázs Németh, team captain Renáta Kiss and assistant Koppány Kovács. Below you can read Balázs Németh's detailed account of their performance and the OB. about the happenings.
There were many discussions beforehand about what to expect and how to prepare for this competition. Since we all knew the course, corn and TTX could not stay at home. Of course, a good method angler doesn't go to a competition without pellets, so we did as well and even brought 16 liters of bones, because we didn't know what was waiting for us in this hot weather.
We arrived in Szeged on Tuesday, where in the evening we took over the first training day's tactics and assigned the next day's tasks. Since the course was virgin, we knew that the first day would be buoy fishing and that the course would gradually recover. After training, there was a quick lunch/dinner at a favorite local restaurant. Here we discussed the experiences of the day. We managed to communicate with a couple of teams, so our fishing began to take shape. Everyone in the team knew that it is difficult to prepare well in two days, try everything and set up a 100% tactic. Knowing this, we made firm decisions that the entire team accepted.
For the mandatory training day on Thursday, we also sat down with divided tactics. In which there was a buoy for everyone and we looked at the possible distances. Here we focused more on the rate and quantity of feedings. Halfway through the training, you could already see the practices that give fish quickly. Everyone tried them out and we could definitely state that we can enter the first race day with a fixed tactic. It was nothing more than stable buoy fishing with pellets, which we based on corn. In addition, you can also feed the two shorter distances that are usual here. Helpers watched to see if a fish started at the track level in one of the shorter distances.
Gábor Hajba was placed in the 'A' sector for a fairly small number, which can be said to be good. Gábor took advantage of the opportunity and stood up with 5 points. I myself ended up in the 'B' sector on the inner side of it, which didn't look bright at the time, but we trained on this exact section the day before. Zoltán Török drew in the 'C' sector, while Gábor Tordai tried to chase the fish from Maty in the D sector. Our goal for the first day was 20 points, which we didn't manage to achieve, but we still ended the day in 8th place. We had a team meeting in the evening, where we unanimously decided to only change the amount of feeding.
Based on Saturday's draw, Gábor Tordai went to sector A, Gábor Hajba to sector B, Zoltán Török to C, while I got sector D. We didn't have a prominent place this time either, but we judged the draw to be good. The goal was 20 points and to be able to get a little ahead, because at that time the podium was still very close. One of the two goals was achieved. We were able to go one place earlier, so we waited for the last day in 7th place. In the evening, the team meeting according to the usual scenario, which turned out to be a bit long here, because we felt that we had to change our tactics so far. There was agreement here as well, so we took back the corn limit and increased the amount of feed.
Our goal was to overtake the competitors of the teams in front of us in the sectors, thus giving them points. Unfortunately, the draw was not the best, nor did we get a special place.
Gábor Hajba went back to sector A, Zolika Török went to sector B, Gábor Tordai went to sector C and I stayed in sector D. At that time, the previous high heat remained, but the wind dropped, which is not always good for the fish's desire to catch. The fishing started off difficult, but we were not far behind the TOP teams today either. According to the assistants, we went almost head to head, so exciting hours followed. We received the information every hour from Reni and Koppány. The work of helpers is greatly appreciated at this time.
FJUKA gave me the VI. On the last day of the FREESTYLE METHOD FEEDER CLUB TEAM national championship, with a fish weighing 9980 grams. With which I won the sector at a high level, almost 22 kilos ahead of the second-placed competitor.
By the way, I used FjUKA Pop-Up bait and pellets packed in a basket from the Sensate™ Fish Accelerant Original attractor, which you can now buy in the www.gofishing.hu online store or in partner stores.
Weigh-in could be followed on the Mohoss side and it was quite exciting, because the teams in front of us had losses, while we scored the fewest points in the final result on this day. After weighing, Csaba Polyák quickly pressed the button, which summarized the results on the interface. Unfortunately or not unfortunately, we stayed in 7th place.
We are very satisfied with this final ranking. Why? There were 39 starters, and for years we have always managed to remain stable in the TOP 10, i.e. we produce consistent results in every team championship at any time and on any water. Even now, the podium is still a long way off, but we know it will happen one day.
Thank you for your support, we thank the County Fishing Association for the opportunity and support, and we congratulate this year's champion team!
In the coming weeks, we will be concentrating on the semi-finals of the individual national championship, where Zolika and I are interested. Zolika is traveling to Nagykanizsa, and I want to fight for the final at Lake Abért.
Congratulations to the team for the great result!
We thank Balázs for the report and wish him and Zoltán Török the best of luck, the individual OB. also in the middle final!
