Fish Day and World Water Day with the Students of Felsőcsatár
On Thursday morning, at the request of the Felsőcsatár Language Teaching Nationalities Primary School – similarly to previous years – our staff waited for the 5th-6th grade students and a separate group of 7th-8th grade students and their teachers in the parking lot next to the Pinka Bridge in Felsőcsatár. The occasion for the event was Fish Day (March 20) and World Water Day (March 22).

József Mesterházy, fish management group leader, and Balázs Szekeres, professional fish keeper, provided insight to the students during their presentation:
- to the wildlife and fish fauna of the Pinka stream
- protection of watercourses, the effects of pollution
- into the basic water quality parameters and their importance
- the biological characteristics of fish
- basic fishing methods and necessary permits
- and the gentle treatment of fish
Our Association surprised the interested group of children, about 50 people, with a small gift at the end of the program.
We also thank the participating teachers for their help and participation!
