Demonstration fishing on the Alpine lake for children
On May 3, 2023, the fishing students of the Celldömölk City Primary School visited Vaskeresztes. The demonstration fishing included with the excursion took place on the Alpine fishing lake located at the headquarters of the Fishing Association. The main goal of the program was to get to know fishing and fish.
Upon arrival, Norbert Puskás, the executive president of the Association, greeted the 28 schoolchildren and their companions. He expressed special thanks to István Viola, the principal of the elementary school in Celldömölk, and Nóra C sizmazia, the deputy principal, for supporting the children's fishing programs and for providing the opportunity to organize the trip, in close cooperation with Tamas Karácsonyi, the professional fish guard of the Association, who is very active in helping the children of Celldömölk in his education for fishing.
The weather was not exactly as usual in the month of May, but the children enthusiastically started fishing even in the windy, cool weather after receiving the fishing rods provided by MOHOSZ.
Despite the bad weather, the children managed to catch carp, bream and even a bream.
The professional fishermen of the Association and the parents also helped in the fishing.
During the day, the children could even take part in a fish stocking, as the carp stocking of the Alpine fishing lake took place on this day. They released the fish into the lake enthusiastically and with great cooperation.
The program ended with a delicious lunch at the Alpesi Fogadó, and before leaving, all participants received a small gift package from the Vas County Fishing Association.
