GARBOLINO-TACKLEBAIT - Vas County Individual and Team Championship was held on Lake Abért II in Lukácsháza on the weekend, with the participation of 4 teams, in which 8 associations fought for the championship title. On Saturday, as we have already provided information about, Elektromosok SHE. His I. team performed the best, so they could look forward to the final round with an advantage. On both days of the competition, cloudy weather accompanied the fishermen already in the morning, but no one suspected that the final day would be an even tougher test.

On Sunday morning, the places were drawn as usual, taking into account that the team that previously had a place on the absolute edge, or next to the edge, could not draw there this time. Having learned the lessons of the first round, the preparation began in the gale-force wind. The competitors took on the challenges with determination and hope. Even at the bait check, it was clear that a trying day would begin at 10 o'clock, the wind was increasing, and then the rain began to fall with greater or lesser intensity. The huge waves and currents created by the strong wind made float fishing almost impossible, but everyone tried to make the most of the conditions. Due to the precise fishing and retention of the bait, they trusted and enforced the method with the stacking rod. Unfortunately, for some, the extreme weather not only damaged their nervous system, but also caused fractures in their walking sticks. It was already clear at the beginning of the competition that today there will be even less catch than in the first round, which was already well below the usual average of 20-30 kg the day before.

When the lunch packages were distributed, the Organizing Committee saw that the fishing had become an almost pointless struggle and with human health in mind, a decision was made to call off the Sunday round after 2.5 hours due to the stormy weather, which was welcomed by the competitors and started. the consideration.

Despite the extremely bad weather, this year's competition took place in a friendly atmosphere and the excitement of the weigh-in was not lost despite the few catches. The value of all small bream and dwarf catfish that were caught in the mouths also increased. In addition to modest catches, some managed to catch wonderful 4-5 kg carp and grass carp. In the second round, the catch average dropped to 4,267 grams, which was 10,987 grams in the first round.

On Sunday, Elektromosok SHE. competitor Gábor Hajba became the most successful angler of the day with a catch of 20,940 grams, followed by Répcelaki HE. excellent supply angler Linter Hunor with 13,220 grams. In the second round, with 12,760 grams, Tibor Pajtli (Spartacus HE) finished on the third step of the imaginary podium.

This competition proved once again that anglers can cope with the most difficult weather conditions with their determination and perseverance, and their passion never lets them down. This year's county team championship was a real "extreme sports competition", so a special congratulations to all teams for their persistent performance in the competition. As the last angler was weighed, it became certain that the winner of the County Team Championship in 2023 was the Elektromosok SHE I. team (Zoltán Török; Bálint Varga; Gábor Tordai; Gábor Hajba) - 19 hsz. - with a catch of 99,110 grams.
