Today, the 2023 GARBOLINO-TACKLEBAIT - Vas County Individual and Team Championship began on Lake Abért II in Lukácsháza with the participation of eight teams, with which the DECATHLON - Vas County Individual Replacement Championship was held at the same time.

The 4-hour round of the competition on Saturday took place in cold and rainy weather. As a result of the sudden cold, there was a drastic drop in the usual fish-rich catches, but the field still managed to catch 351,590 grams of fish. On the first day, an average of 10 kg was caught, but in order to achieve better sector results, 15-20 kg of fish had to be herded into the mouth. Overall, the Electricians SHE is the best. His I. team appeared with 7 points, they are followed by Répcelak-MMX Team with 12 points, while in third place is Spartacus HE. II. stands with 16 ranking numbers.

After the first round, anything can happen, a balanced performance from the frontrunners will be needed on the final day if they want to keep their lead. To the right, carp and crucian carp catches dominated, but we managed to catch quite a few large grass carp during the weigh-in. In addition to the team competition, there is also a competition for the title of Vas County Individual Adult Champion, which is announced based on the overall results achieved in the two rounds of the Team Championship.

In the adult individual category, the ranking has so far been as follows:

1st place: Ádám Nardai Spartacus SHE. II. team (B1) 30380 gr.

2nd place: Gábor Tordai Elektromosok SHE. Group I (D2) 22180 gr.

3rd place: Zoltán Török Elektromosok SHE. Group I (A7) 19940 gr.

In parallel with the County Championship, the DECATHLON - VAS COUNTY Individual Youth Championship was held for the second time on the Abért II lake, in which youth competitors who are members of an association of the Vas County Fishing Association could start, from the U25 age group. We were sad to see that only 2 people entered the one-day competition.

However, it was a question of two very skilled competitors, of which Viktor Kovács emerged victorious with a catch of 23,200 grams, while Milán Gersei was able to reel in 6,940 fish. In 2023, Decathlon's Szombathely Sports Store is a key supporter of the Association's youth and youth programs for anglers, thanks to which the anglers participating in the competition were enriched with a valuable Decathlon gift certificate in addition to cups and medals.
