Association leaders and assistants competed again in Vassurány

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations organized its friendly fishing competition for the seventh time, in which only invited officials and employees of the Association and active management members (helpers) of the member organizations could participate. Until now, it was a tradition that the event was always held on the fishing waters of the member organizations that joined last. Since the "new entrants" ran out, thanks to the hospitality of the Vassurány people, they again organized this year's competition at an excellent level.

The morning opening was held by Norbert Puskás, executive president , then Károly Mészáros, president of the Vassurányi Sport Fishing Association, greeted those present and wished everyone successful fishing. The mayor of Vassurány Dániel Forrai was also specially welcomed, who strengthened the field this year not only as a visitor, but also as a starter. After the technical briefings, everyone routinely drew lots and booked their fishing spots with their teammates. The pairs of fishing guides tried to solve the secret of the Vassurány fishing lake together at a starting point.

Last year's winning pair - Dezső Gaál and Ferenc Nagy - managed to draw from Kerkafalva to the edge of the field and, like last year, they caught the fish nicely after the sound of the bagpipes. This year, however, the Vassurányi Fishing Association also started a team (Roland Reczetár-Mészáros Roland) , who, seizing the advantage of the home course, continuously caught more and more beautiful fish on the other side of the course. On the other side of the lake, life was less busy in terms of bites, but Gábor Porteleki and Imre Gerencsér (Elektromosok SHE.) managed to catch some nice Vassurány carp. The biggest fish of the friendly competition was hooked by Imre Gerencsér, which weighed 9,960 grams at the intermediate weigh-in.

During the morning, the leaders and enthusiastic helpers of the Vassurányi Fishing Association treated the starters and their family members to tasty scones and hot dogs. While the competition was going on, the association president Károly Mészáros's excellent cellar stew was prepared, to which the association hosted all the contestants and companions after the weighing. The gloomy weather in the morning turned to scorching sunshine at halftime, and that lasted until the end of the race.

In the good-humored doubles competition, the Vassurányi HE team (Roland Reczetár-Mészáros Roland) finished first with an excellent catch of 43,960 grams, the Kerkafalva Kéthatár-tó HE team (Gaál Dezső - Ferenc Nagy) took second place with 18,340 grams, behind them in close competition were Electricians SHE. (Gábor Gerencsér Imre-Porteleki) won the bronze medal with a catch of 17,200 grams.

Before the announcement of the results , László Laki, the vice-president of the Vas County Association of Sportfishing Associations , expressed his gratitude to Vassurányi HE.
