5000 pre-bred catfish arrived in the Rába River
In line with the valid fish management plans of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Anglers, 5,000 pre-farmed catfish were placed in the Rába River in the Körmend area managed by the Association yesterday.
The new residents were placed on several sections of the Rába River. The catfish with excellent vitality came from the New Perint site of Halászmester Kft. The placement of the pre-bred predators was carried out by Károly Sipos and his helpers.
József Mesterházy, the leader of the fish farming group, was present at the receipt of the fish, representing the Association. The main purpose of the deployment is to "refresh the blood" of the native catfish population in the Rába River.
