30 young people participated in our fishing camp this year

On August 6, this year's federal Vasi Vizeken fishing camp began in Vaskeresztes, where young people between the ages of 8 and 16 can learn about fishing in the framework of various programs. After arriving on Sunday morning, the camp started with an opening and orientation, which was held at the Alpine Hospitality and Fishing Tourist Center. The thirty young people were accommodated in the rooms of the inn and in tents in the indoor event space.

After the greeting and technical information of Norbert Puskás, the executive president, the program continued in the rainy weather with the introduction of the young people and the camp leaders. The leader of this year's fishing camp was Attila Kádi , who is the organizer of many successful children's programs in Répcelak. Before lunch, the traditional group photo at the start of the camp was taken, and after the delicious lunch at the Alpesi Fogadó, there was also the much-awaited fishing, where the more skillful and luckier anglers managed to lure quite a few really nice fish into their mouths. The weather welcomed the camp in the afternoon and fishing took place together in wonderful sunny weather.

Unfortunately, the weather on Monday did not allow the originally planned beach trip, but the young people were not bored this time either. There was morning gymnastics, fishing, target practice in the morning. After lunch , fish management group leader József Mesterházy gave an exciting interactive presentation about the wildlife of the Pinka stream and the important rules of fishing and fish protection.

After the performance, the camp teams were formed and the friendly camp team competition began with the "rubber boot throwing" competition. After a little rest, the next day the seven young people who took the fishing test tested their skills in a trial test, and after dinner the program continued with fishing, to which the fish were also invited again.

The camp experiences continued on the now sunny Tuesday. The third day began with a morning tournament, and after a little warm-up fishing, the crew of Szombathely Television filmed and recorded more and more beautiful catches. In the course of the morning, the camp target throwing competition took place with casting rods and a throwing circle provided by MOHOSZ.

After a quick and tasty lunch at the Alpesi Fogadó és Borház , Petya and Bence, colleagues and test anglers from the Decathlon Szombathely Store , introduced the young people to the mysteries of method feeder fishing and experienced together the success of Caperlan products. During the afternoon, seven young campers took part in the state fishing exam organized by the Association, which all seven of them successfully passed. Tuesday ended with an exciting team fishing competition.

On Wednesday morning, the early risers started the day with fishing. Of course, before breakfast there was also a little exercise around the lake, during which the feed materials took on a new role in a playful sports competition. After a quick breakfast, the residents of the camp found themselves at the trout farm in Vaskereszetes and were able to get to know the presentation of the fish production unit restarted last year in the presentation of farm manager Csaba Kállai , and they were able to get up close and personal with the trout, as well as watch a feeding session. We would also like to thank Csaba Kállai for the opportunity!

After returning to the camp, before lunch , Tibor Monos, fly-fishing specialist of Magyar Horgász magazine, guided the young people into the secrets of the most sporting fishing method, and as part of a practical demonstration, the campers could practice casting with a fly-fishing rod, which is not an easy task. In the afternoon, unfortunately in rainy weather, but in an even better mood, the camp competition individual fishing competition was held, where crucian carp, bream, amur and carp were caught.

The winner of the two-hour friendly fishing competition was Jácint Taschler , who excelled with a catch of 6950 grams. After dinner, there was a fish puzzle competition between the camp teams, and then the more athletic ones ended the day with an impromptu football game and, of course, fishing.

On the closing day on Thursday, the camp was put in order, the tent was taken down, then a little picnic and finally the announcement of the results of the camp contests closed this year's camp with lots of gifts and sweets.
