Lake Pinkamindszent (C&R)

In the area of the village, the material extraction site (water body) created during the construction of the railway in the 1800s was revived, which functioned as a popular fishing pond in the 1980s and 1990s. Together with the Association, the Municipality has set itself the goal of creating an orderly and well-kept environment suitable for pleasant pastimes, which together with the Pinka river would serve the residents and the tourists and fishermen who visit here in a dignified way for rest, recreation, and pleasant leisure time.

Thanks to the rehabilitation work of the Association, the renaturation of the lake took place and the now almost forgotten small swamp was turned into a sport fishing lake, which officially received its water rights operation permit at the end of 2014 and started operating as a registered fish farming water area on May 1, 2015.

The Delegate Assembly of the Vas County Federation of Sport Fishing Associations has accepted that from June 1, 2015, the Abért lake sport fishing annual and daily area tickets are also valid for the Pinkamindszenti lake.

You can fish on Lake Pinkamindszent under the following conditions:

• All fish - with the exception of catfish - must be gently released back into the water immediately after being caught.
• On Lake Pinkamindszent - with artificial bait - you can only spin and fly with a hook with a depressed beard or without a beard.
• Fishing cannot be started without a large diving bag and a fish mattress ("carp mattress") and the hook releaser.
• There is a general - artificial bait - predatory fish ban on the lake between January 1 and April 30.
• On Lake Pinkamindszent, you can fish from 01 October to 31 March from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or until the public lights are turned on, and from 01 April to 30 September from 05:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. or until the public lights are turned on. Fishing in the dark is FORBIDDEN!
• Fishing with live bait fish and fish slices, fly fishing, and the use of bait fish nets are prohibited on the lake!
• You can fish on the side of the main road and on the shores above the water tower (hydroglobe bus). Fishing above the neighboring agricultural area is prohibited!
• You can only park your car in the designated parking lot next to the main road or in the grassy area next to the water tower (hydroglobe bus). Parking directly on the waterfront is strictly prohibited!
• It is forbidden to feed the fish!
