Welfare developments on the shores of Lake Abért are now free to use
Work began in the spring along the Abért Lakes between Kőszeg and Lukácsháza, and the technical handover of the gross welfare development worth HUF 21 million took place last week. There are still a few information boards left to be put out, but the placed outdoor elements are now free to use.
The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Anglers' Associations is currently the owner of 25 Vas and 4 Zala rivers and 19 Vas and 2 Zala stagnant waters for fish farming in 1397.19 hectares of water in Vas and Zala counties. The 28 member associations of the Association will have 11,000 members this year. The Association strives to protect, develop, expand and continuously increase the awareness of the natural values of the water areas under its management, both in Hungary and abroad. We are working to make our fishing waters a popular, fish-rich sport fishing spot available to a wide group of society, thus providing a pleasant, cultured recreation for all visitors and member association anglers. Another milestone in the realization of this mission is TOP-1.2.1-15-VS1-2019-00009. "Fishing tourism developments in Vas county", in the framework of which more than 136 million forints of support will be provided, the environment of three new fishing lakes in Vas county will be renewed this year in addition to Lake Abért. The aim of the planned developments, as before, is again to ensure that the renewable fishing lakes and their surroundings serve the recreational needs of the visitors as much as possible, providing more orderly conditions for spending free time. they can be visited freely by anyone, ”said Norbert Puskás, the executive chairman of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations.
It should be noted about Abértó that the water area established by the Western Transdanubia Water Directorate in 2010 is an excellent and accessible recreational place for significant crowds in addition to sport fishing. Due to the excellent fish stock of the lake, many fishing competitions are held here, where average catches of 40-60 kg are not uncommon during 4-5 hour rounds. The fish species that can be caught in the “catch and release” sport fishing lake are the following: carp from 1 to 5 kg, grass carp from 2 to 4 kg, bream from 0.5 to 1 kg, crucian carp, while pike are not uncommon from 6 to 12 kg. between individuals. Within the framework of the Abért Lake development, a 545 m2 area suitable for parking on the upper side of the lake's pit house was created to fill the gaps, especially for the parking of fishermen's vehicles, as well as the community area necessary for fishing competitions. The 426 m long service road connecting the official car park next to Lake Abért I and the “fishing car park” was also repaired. The environment of the lake was supplemented with the following outdoor elements within the framework of the tender: 2 sets of bench shingles; 1 6x6 m solid floor paved rainwater event space; 12 bench-table sets; 20 backrest benches around the lakes on the fishing sections; 2 fireplaces with concrete foundation; 1 selective waste collection island; 1 camp toilet and 2 larger information boards.
Péter Ágh, a member of parliament from the region, also took part in the tour of Lake Abért, who said that Lake Abért is one of the most popular and beloved excursion places in Northern Vas County. Through the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations, this location can also develop further. Thank you to the Alliance for this work, thank you for being able to attract serious central resources here again. Of course, we will continue to work on the future development of this site, which is one of the treasures of Vas County.
