We plan to stock fish on the last days of March and the second of April. The quantities stocked may of course vary depending on the results of the catches and the capacity of the transport vehicle. We will report in detail on the completed stocking operations.
Based on our previous news, in view of the upcoming Easter holiday , on Monday, March 30, 3x500 kg of carp will arrive at Lake Csónakázó in Szombathely, Lake Kavicsbánya in Magyarszecsőd, and Lake Hársas in Máriaújfalu from Halászmester KFT.
Subsequently, similarly to previous years, in accordance with the provisions of the fish management plan, on March 31st, with the help of K&K Oil KFT., which operates the Vaskerestes trout farm, we will install juvenile brown trout in several sections of the Pinka, Gyöngyös and Répce. 2x75 kg (approx. 400 fish per lake) will arrive in the Pinka and Répce, and 50 kg will arrive in the Gyöngyös.
According to the plans, the Gyöngyös stream will be enriched with a total of 150 kg of brown trout on April 9th and 10th , in view of the National Coastal Spinning Championship to be held on Friday and Saturday, the 10th and 11th.
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that between April 4–11, 2026, in order to ensure the smooth running of the 10th National Coastal Spinning Championship training sessions and competitions, a fishing ban will be in effect on the Gyöngyösfalu section of the Gyöngyös Stream for anglers not registered for the competition. Lovers of light spinning can now fish for a total of 350 kg of trout on the 3 watercourses after the competition ban!
This week, on Thursday, April 2nd, 1,000 kg of 2nd-year Balaton carp from the Fonyód farm of the Balaton Fish Management Nonprofit ZRT. will arrive in Lake Kéthatár near Kerkafalva. The aim of the installation is to update the stock and to serve the needs of sport and competition anglers, so we ask the T. Horgázsztársak to be especially careful when fishing and returning specimens - most of which are under the catchable size!
