The Vasvár HE celebrated with a drawing competition.
On the occasion of the founding of the Petőfi Fishing Association of Vasvár 75 years ago, it announced a drawing competition for children entitled "This is how I see it" and a photo competition for adults entitled "This is how I see it". A total of 113 drawings, paintings and photos were received for the call.
The award ceremony of the competition was held last week, Thursday, at the Nagy Gáspár Cultural Center. The received works were evaluated by the painter László Nádler, who drew attention to the fact that the kind of creative freedom that is already lacking in adults can still be seen in children's works, and he thanked the children for giving a glimpse through their drawings and paintings. into the world of their thoughts.
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, the fishing association was formed by an enthusiastic, nature-loving team in 1946, with a group of barely thirty people walking the surrounding natural waters, almost by bike or on foot. At that time, only the Rába and its backwaters, the Csörnöc, and a few smaller lakes offered opportunities for fishing, and over time, the opportunities expanded and the number of people increased continuously. Today, the association with 330 members, led by László Laki, has become one of the largest non-governmental organizations in Vasvár, which is part of the local public life and the county fishing movement.
