The results of the first round of the Vasi Vizesek Contest are available
The first correspondence round of the 21st Vasi Vizeken Primary School Fishing Competition has been concluded and evaluated. We were pleased to see that this year, too, high-quality, demanding and in many cases particularly imaginative entries were received from the participating teams.
In the first round of the 2026 competition, we were able to evaluate the solutions of 13 teams. The competitors had to demonstrate their knowledge, skill, and connection to fishing through theoretical, creative, and digital tasks.
The first round brought a particularly strong field, as six teams achieved the maximum score of 50 points. According to the announcement, in the event of a tie, the team that submitted the online task earlier was awarded the upper hand.
The top three finishers of the first round:
1. Rumi Bucók – Rumi Rajki István Elementary School – 50 points
2. Rumi Harcsák – Rumi Rajki István Elementary School – 50 points
3. Rábamenti Harcsákos – Móra Ferenc Primary School in Répcelaki – 50 points
Detailed results can be found by clicking here.
Congratulations to the podium teams and to all participants for their performance in the first round!
In the first round, the teams had to complete several different types of tasks. First, they had to make a unique team flag made of textile, the aim of which was for the teams to creatively display their own image, name and community spirit. Among the flags received, we could see many imaginative, colorful and carefully crafted works. One team's flag was not made in a vertical format, so 1 point was deducted, but regardless, it was still a high-quality work.

The flags made by the teams can be viewed by clicking here.
The teams also completed an online series of tasks, which included fish knowledge, fishing, image recognition, and thought-provoking logic tasks. Based on the answers, it was clear that the participants took their preparation seriously, as several teams achieved a perfect 20/20 test score.
One of the new features this year was the video tasks. The teams had to make a team introduction video, in which they introduced themselves and answered the question of why they like to fish. They also had to make a short promotional video about one of the fishing waters managed by the Association, explaining why it is worth visiting the given water area.
We came across several outstanding solutions for the team flags and online tasks. The video tasks also received many colorful, enthusiastic and imaginative works, which well reflected the teams' love for fishing and their attachment to the fishing waters of Vásárlón.
Since video production was a new element in the competition this year, we tried to be kind and supportive during the evaluation. We did not always take the time limits and formalities into account too strictly, as this was the first time we had included this type of task, and we wanted to primarily evaluate enthusiasm, inventiveness, and the work invested.
Of course, there is still room for improvement in the field of videos, but overall, it can be said that many valuable, lovable, and creative solutions have been created.
At the same time as publishing the results of the first round, we would like to draw the attention of the teams to the fact that the deadline for submitting tasks for the second round (June 1, 2026, 12:00 noon) is approaching.
We ask the participating teams and their preparation teachers to pay attention to the deadline and send us their solutions on time!
We would like to congratulate all participating teams on their performance in the first round, and thank the preparatory teachers, parents and helpers for their work.
The goal of the competition remains to allow children to learn about the world of water, fish, fishing, and nature conservation in a playful and experiential way, while gaining new knowledge and experiences by working in a community and as a team.
