The County Youth Fishing Competition took place in an excellent atmosphere
On Sunday, June 28th, we organized the county youth fishing competition, where young people could not only show off their fishing knowledge, but also their theoretical preparation and practical skills.
In the first part of the program, the children completed a theoretical worksheet, followed by the practical task of making a tip rod rig. The competitors completed both tasks skillfully and quickly.

The most anticipated competition, the three-hour fish catch, started at 9 a.m. Despite the extreme heat, more and more beautiful fish were caught in a short time. During the day, grass carp in particular showed great interest in the baits offered, with one young angler successfully hooking six specimens. In addition, carp, crucian carp and bream also made the catches more colorful.

In the hot weather, Tamás Firisz ensured adequate hydration with his chilled soda machine and offerings, while the organizing fishing association provided refreshing syrups for the participants.
The weighing resulted in excellent results: the five competitors in the pre-trained category caught a total of 70,340 grams of fish, which meant an average catch of 14,068 grams. This performance is considered a remarkable result even in adult competitions.

Zoltán Töreki also actively participated in the organization of the competition, who also helped in scoring the target shooting event after the weighing. While the results were being tallied, the participants were treated to pizza provided by the association, which the children ate with a good appetite.

After the results were announced, several families stayed at the venue, and the meaningful day ended with an informal conversation.
