Despite the known difficulties of 2020, all but one of our competitions were organized in full compliance with official regulations. If the pandemic does not intervene, this year as well, there will be a number of competitions in the hobby and competition categories for pecans. Thanks to the excellent cooperation with the Decathlon Sports Store in Szombathely, the most successful competitors can receive valuable vouchers with a total prize of HUF 250,000 this time, in addition to goblets and medals.

Participation in our fishing competitions is still free of charge, you only need to have a valid state and regional ticket. However, anglers intending to compete will still be required to obtain a competitor's license. If an emergency ordered due to an epidemic situation persists in May, hobby anglers will also have to exchange their racing licenses this year - exceptionally - because only registered athletes can attend sporting events. Competitor's license can be arranged by entering your own HORINFO angler profile and paying with a credit card.

Professional anglers can compete according to national regulations, while hobby anglers are subject to looser regulations, so it is also possible to feed them, for example. The express goal of the hobby category is to get as many anglers as possible to try racing in a friendly setting. In addition to adults, we also count on child and youth anglers. In each competition, participants in the hobby youth category under the age of 18 will be awarded separately.

All anglers who have obtained their license in one of our member associations of the Association and enter the Iron Waters Cups announced by the Association will automatically participate in the XII. "Best Sport Fishing in Iron Waters", which includes the following competitions:

Compared to last year's competition, there will be a change of location, this time the competitors can collect the points in Kerkafalva, Zala County, instead of Lake Püspökmolnári, so the series will start for them on May 1st.

A minimum of 3 rounds per category must be entered in order to evaluate the result of the sport angler in the competition series. Anyone can start in the competition series, but only the members of the member organizations of the Vas County Fishermen's Association will be included in the overall evaluation.
The end-of-season winners of the categories will receive a trophy and the title of “Best Sport Fisherman in Iron Waters 2021” as well as an annual regional ticket valid for 2022 for the fishing waters managed by the Association, as well as Decathlon vouchers.

This time, a separate entry platform was created for those starting in the hobby (adult, youth) and competitor categories. Please pay close attention to subscribe to the appropriate category! On average, we can accept a maximum of 50-60 entries per venue, so it's not worth delaying!
