Temporary extension of C&R section on Gyöngyös stream
Our association, taking advantage of the opportunity - based on which it is entitled to introduce temporary prohibitions and restrictions in the fish farming water areas it manages - will extend the C&R protection section of the Gyöngyös stream (Swift Trout Nature Trail) on an experimental basis until May 31, 2026, from the Gulner mill to the Gencsapát switchgear (Római dam).
On the section previously leading to the Lukácsházi parking lot, and after the modification to the Gencsapáti switchgear (GPS: 47°17'37.3"N 16°35'29.8"E), the following rules apply based on the current fishing regulations:
- Fishing is only allowed with 1 rod and 1 single-barred hook on the specified section of the stream!
- The fishing methods that can be used are artificial fly fishing and spinning fishing, exclusively with artificial bait without the use of any bite indicators!
- The use of a dip net, wet cloth and hook release device is mandatory! Fishing can only be started with the listed equipment!
- All fish caught in the marked section must be released back into the water immediately after being gently unhooked!
The amendment is being introduced by our Association on an experimental basis, taking into account the needs of the increasingly popular light spinning fishing, in order to protect the stock of swift trout stocked for the preparation and competition of the 10th National Shore Spinning Championship, and to ensure opportunities for local and visiting anglers.
We would like to draw the attention of T. Fishing Association members to the fact that any violation of the above rules is considered a violation of the fishing regulations in force, and therefore our Association will report this to the competent Fisheries Authority in every case. In addition to electronic publication, the amendment will also be announced on paper in as many places as possible on the affected section.
Let's take care of the native brown trout population together, which can only be caught in a few water areas in our country. We thank you in advance for your understanding!
