Rapid stocking of trout took place in the iron streams
As we have indicated several times before, in addition to the continuous stocking of carp and serving peaceful fish anglers, the goal of our Association is to develop the indigenous stock of natural waters, and to expand the possibilities of spinning, light spinning (UL) and fly fishing in iron rivers as well. In addition to the majority of peaceful fish angling in the county, the number of small stream angling and sophisticated lure angling lovers is constantly increasing in the county, so we want to maintain the annual stocking of brook trout on our streams, which still provide a suitable habitat for brown trout and have a sufficient body of water. opportunity.
In line with this, in accordance with the fisheries management plan of the water areas, on Friday we released one-year-old brown trout with an average weight of 8-9 dkg in several sections of the Pinka stream, the Gyöngyös stream and the Répce river, in a total amount of 75 kg, which is nearly 900 brown trout means placement.
The trout were provided by the Vaskeresztes Trout Colony (Pinka Fish Vaskeresztes), whose colony manager, Csaba Kállai, personally helped with the pre-planting measurements and loading. Halászmester KFT from Szombathely is responsible for the professional delivery of the valuable fish. its managing director, Péter Balassa, and his staff cooperated and helped the colleagues of our Association. We would also like to thank them and professional fly writer Tibor Monos for their help during the installation.
Taking into account the permeability of the watercourses, the plantings took place in several sections, usually from the water or directly from the water's edge, in several places, in smaller quantities. We are confident that, depending on the natural supply of fish food in the watercourses and the water quality, the stocked fish will even reach catchable size by next spring. At the same time, we ask all good-natured anglers to release the stocked student trout extremely gently from the hook and release them back into the water after possible hooking.
