Our team won a bronze medal at the X. Puspökpuszta Pike Brewing Competition
The tenth Pike Stew Cooking Competition was held in Puspökpuszta, on the charming island of Mohács. The event has already become a winter tradition, and the participants always look forward to meeting old friends and new acquaintances again, to enjoy together the unmistakable taste of fish dishes and "fish-fisherman" friendships. The organizer, Árpád Horváth and his team, enthusiastically prepared for this day for many months, and they paid attention to every detail to make the event unforgettable for everyone. The meticulous preparations and a lot of work paid off, and all the participants of the competition were able to leave the jubilee event happy and satisfied.
Everyone was smiling, talking and helping each other, as if we were one big family, happily sharing their passion for fish dishes and cooking. The specialty of the competition was that it was only possible to compete with dishes made from pike, so the participants had the opportunity to show their creativity and cooking skills within this framework.
Last year, the Pispökpuszta team led by Árpád Horváth took part in the Pinka-völgy Fish Day, and this year, at his friendly invitation, the team of the Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations also participated in the 10th Pispökpuszta Pike Pike Competition. The iron team was represented by Tamás Karácsonyi and his partner Mónika Rákóczi and Balázs Szekeres. The team won a prestigious third place with their pike stew and also received a special award for their excellently prepared dill pike.
This day was more than just a simple cooking competition. It was an occasion where food reconnected us, and where the strength of friendship and community endured throughout.
