Our fishermen passed the national fishing competition
For the first time, the professional fish guards of our association took part in the IV. National Fisherman's Professional Competition and Meeting in Székesfehérvár. At the competition, 29 organizations entitled to fish management nominated a team of 3 competitors, usually with 1 professional leader and attendant. The meeting also included an annual condition survey and technical inspection of Toyota Hilux service vehicles procured with Mohos support.
Our association was represented as a competitor by professional fish guards Tamás Christmas, Benjámin Seregi and Balázs Szekeres, and by József Mesterházy as a companion.
After interesting lectures on law enforcement and fish health on Monday afternoon, the teams had to complete a rather difficult professional test, which included a mix of fish biology, morphology, hydrochemistry and legal issues.
On Tuesday, distributing the team members, the organizers tested the knowledge of the riders on the car skill course next to Tác and on the Soponyai shooting range, giving up the lesson with one task at a time and a puck shooting competition aimed at the effectiveness of cormorant reduction. In the afternoon, motor and rowing boat skill numbers followed on the Boating Lake, making it difficult to find forbidden equipment, where our young riders performed excellently, despite spending a negligible amount of time in a boat compared to several fishing teams.
At the end of the day, the team, which was still in a prominent position, was joked by some of Wednesday’s races, having to stand up to the lawnmower-tractor skill competition, throw-in, professional inspection and action tasks in stormy winds and alternating rain.
At the end of the parallel fishing competition, in the announcement of the results after a hearty lunch, they ranked the Vas County team 18th out of 29 fishermen's teams, which is a midfield with a close result, which is a good place in terms of preparation and we managed to overtake teams of more routine fish farmers.
