On Saturday, juvenile perch will come to our 3 lakes
With the support of the MOHOSZ grant, we are planning to carry out a one-summer perch stocking on Saturday, October 17th.
With the support of the Hungarian National Fishing Association Stock Replacement and Development Target Allocation (ÁPFE-VIII-4/2026), the application entitled "Installation and reintroduction of standard and preferred native fish species" is expected to be placed in the following waters by Halászmester KFT., based in Szombathely, with an estimated 200 kilograms, approximately 1,000 juvenile perch weighing around 20 dkg:
- Magyarszecsőd gravel pit lake: 100 kg ~ 500 pcs
- Újperinti I. gravel pit lake: 50 kg ~ 250 pcs
- Szombathely Boating Lake: 50 kg ~ 250 pcs
Since none of the deployed "spikybacks" reach the catchable size, we ask our anglers to act as gently as possible when catching small perch, and to return them to the water immediately after carefully releasing the hook, giving them a chance to grow above the catchable size, providing a greater fishing experience or a larger catch for a lucky angler.
Based on our association's plans and the submitted application, the bream stocking will continue during October-November depending on the quantity caught, and further perch stocking is also expected.
Next week we plan to stock extra-sized carp in the Döröskei Reservoir and the Magyarszecsőd Gravel Mine Lake, which we will also report on in detail.

The possibility of personal administration (e.g. ticket exchange, fishing card application, etc.) at the Association's customer service office in Vaskerestes is available by prior appointment from January 6, 2026.
