Information on changes in force affecting fishermen from 08 March 2021
The Hungarian National Fishermen's Association published its traditional emergency information tonight, updated with the changes resulting from the state protection measures that will come into force on Monday. Unfortunately, this time - in the knowledge of the current, currently deteriorating epidemiological data - no mitigations could be introduced and thus we ask the anglers and the organizations and enterprises serving the anglers to cooperate even more carefully and with caution.
Without wishing to be exhaustive, we draw your attention to the following news:
- Fishing may take place between 8 March and 29 March 2021, alone or with people living in the same household, with a distance of at least 1.5 meters from others. You do not have to wear a mask when fishing, except inland. In the case of inland fishing waters in settlements, it is mandatory to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth.
- Night fishing is generally not allowed between 8 am and 5 pm. Night fishing is currently only possible from your own property on the waterfront or from a houseboat and is only possible with your family there. Based on the recommendation of MOHOSZ, it is recommended that the operators of the fishing waters close at 7 pm and that the fishermen finish the fishing in time in order to be able to return home safely until the start of the curfew. Following the improvement of the epidemiological situation, MOHOSZ supports the scheduled reversal of the possibility of night fishing, and the decision alternatives developed on the subject were published in a separate announcement on 25 February 2021 on the website www.mohosz.hu. (here you can read the communication on night fishing: https://nyito.mohosz.hu/index.php/szovetseg/9-hirek/699-koezlemeny ) We would like to draw your attention to the fact that for the period after the deadline of 22 March 2021 decision is not the responsibility of the MOHOSZ, but of the Operational Staff responsible for the Control of the Coronavirus Epidemic and the Government.
- Fishing shops are considered commercial businesses and are therefore closed nationwide. If the fishing shop also sells pet food and fodder, it may be open from 8 March to 29 March 2021.
- In order to support the basic conditions of fishing as a recreational sport activity, the supply of fishing documents can be provided in places (eg: association customer service office, gas station, grocery store selling daily consumer goods, pet food and feed stores) to which 104/2021. (III. 5.) of the Government of the Republic of Hungary on the closure of shops is not covered. In case of redemption of regional tickets - which is possible in the case of fish farming areas - give preference to the online ticket purchase option provided by the HORINFO professional system at www.horgaszjegy.hu .
- State fishing exam from 8 March to 29 March 2021 is not possible. Candidates will be notified by the examination boards whenever possible, and the HORINFO system sent a separate system message on this subject on 19 March 2021.
- The organization of general meetings of member organizations and associations, delegate meetings, meetings, fishing exhibitions and public meetings is prohibited until March 29, 2021.
