Information about the situation of Lake Merseváti
Unfortunately, the water level of Lake Merseváti has dropped critically due to the recent extreme water shortage and drought. Due to the lake's unique peat-mudbed, meaningful fish rescue cannot be carried out safely at the moment. The area around the receding water is impassable in places, the peaty mud is unpredictable and dangerous, and there is no possibility of safely transporting watercraft. For this reason, we do not send our employees into areas where their physical safety may be at risk.
We also specifically ask fellow anglers not to enter the drying riverbed or muddy, peaty areas to volunteer to rescue fish! We naturally appreciate the intention to help, but in such circumstances, the protection of human life and physical integrity comes first.

Due to the current situation, anglers with a three-lake area ticket who selected Lake Merseváti on their ticket are given the opportunity to choose another water area from the other lakes originally listed on the ticket.
The number of the newly selected lake must be clearly written on the ticket above or directly next to the previous number 8, so that the original number 8 remains visible. Due to the modification, it is not necessary to return the regional ticket to the ticket seller.
If the lake dries up completely, we will also examine the possibility of what kind of riverbed maintenance work can be carried out safely and regularly within the framework of the current water law operating permit. Fortunately, there has been no possibility or need for such an intervention so far, but in the current extraordinary situation, we would like to try to make something good out of something bad.
We trust that the water balance of Marcal and its region will be stabilized in the coming period, and with this the water supply of Lake Merseváti can also be restored. We hope that the lake can return to its previous state and be fished again by the spring of 2027, awaiting anglers in a regulated environment.
We are constantly monitoring the condition of the lake and will continue to inform fellow anglers about developments.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation and responsible attitude!
