Fishing ticket prices will not increase in Vas County in 2026 either
The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations held its traditional autumn Executive Committee (EB) meeting in Vaskeresztes on November 6, 2025, where the board reviewed the professional and management results of the past period and made the most important decisions for 2026.
At the beginning of the meeting, President Miklós Seregi welcomed those present, and then those present stood in silence for a minute in memory of János Tóth, former member of the Association's Executive Committee and former president of the Répcelak City Miners' and Anglers' Association, who served the Répcelak and Vas fishing communities for two decades.
Following the commemoration, the leadership of the Association was happy to welcome professional fisheries guard Dániel Szabó, who recently became a father. In addition to the gift presented on behalf of the community, the members of the IB wished the young family much happiness and good health.
As the first item on the agenda of the meeting, the board discussed a detailed report on the professional and organizational activities of the past six months. The nearly 30-page written presentation comprehensively presented the operation of the Association, its ongoing projects, fish management tasks, events and developments. The written presentation was supplemented orally by the executive president Norbert Puskás, highlighting the most important current events in the Association's tendering and management, as well as fishing activities.

Under the second agenda item, the board approved the draft fishing regulations and ticket prices for 2026. The most important decision is that neither the Association's membership fees nor the regional ticket prices will increase in 2026, thus the Association guarantees unchanged prices for the third year in a row, while the development of services, fish stocking and fishing infrastructure is ensured at a continuously increasing level.
State ticket and MOHOSZ membership fees will not increase either, so the only change in the complete ticket price structure can be a change in association membership fees.
The basis for the 2026 decision, which will benefit anglers, is that the Association is financially stable; a 6–7% revenue increase is expected in 2025, which is an extremely good result considering that Lake Sárvíz in Gersekaráti was no longer under the management of the Association this year. The available reserves, as well as stabilizing fish prices and responsible management, create a solid basis for maintaining ticket prices next year.
Ticket prices valid from January 1, 2026 are available here.
The Association's fish management tasks can be fulfilled with unchanged fee levels as planned; the carp stock is exceptionally good in several water areas, so anglers can continue to enjoy high-quality fishing opportunities. Keeping ticket prices at the same level for the third year in a row serves both the interests of the fishing community and the Association's long-term, responsible, angler-friendly management strategy.

The 2026 fishing regulations contain only minor modifications and clarifications. The most important innovations are the new C&R-type rules of the Rábagyarmat stormwater reservoir, which provide priority to child and youth anglers due to the limited capacity of the water area, and define the conditions for sustainable, sporting fishing.
Fishing regulations valid from January 1, 2026 are available here.
Due to the sale of Lake Nagypiriti, the regulations regarding the lake have been deleted from the fishing regulations; however, fishing in the water area is still possible with valid fishing licenses until January 31, 2026.
Several important issues that will determine the future of the Association were also discussed at the meeting. Among these, the preparation of Vasi Vizeken Kft., the establishment of a 100% owned business company of the Association, which would operate the Alpesi Fogadó accommodation facilities in the future and perform the Association's tourism, event organization, communication and green space management tasks, is worth highlighting.

Following this, the audit quotation was reviewed and a decision was made to conclude the audit contract. Although the Association is no longer subject to mandatory audit requirements due to changes in the legal environment, in the spirit of its commitment to public benefit and public purpose operations, the 27-member Board of Directors present unanimously decided to continue the audit on a voluntary basis.
The aim of the decision is to ensure that the Association's financial management processes remain transparent, audited and credible to the fishing community in the future.
Information was provided on the launch of the MOHOSZ HORINFO e-membership module, as well as a detailed report on the complete renewal of the Halőr car fleet and the sale of previous vehicles.
Finally, the current status of 2025 applications, installations, and waterfront tours was also discussed.
Anglers in Vásárlón can continue to indulge in their favorite activity in a reliable, predictable environment in 2026. The Association will continue to work to seize all possible resources to develop water areas and improve the water supply of fishing waters, as the low-precipitation weather is becoming an increasingly challenging situation for Vásárlón waters as well.
