Electronic catch logbook available from February

Step 1: Download or update the fishing app

• Search for the Horgász app in the Google Play Store (Horgász - Apps on Google Play) or the Apple App Store (Horgász in the App Store) and click the "Download" button.
• The e-log will initially be available to anglers (over 18 years old) with an independent profile.

Step 2: Log in to the app
Use the login details you provided when registering as an angler. No new registration is required!

Step 3: Enable E-log

• After logging in, select the "Enable E-log" option in the menu.
• Read the "Guidelines" and then accept the short statement.

Step 4: Head to the point of sale

• Apart from the regional ticket, no other digital document can be accessed from home yet.
• Therefore, to replace the diary, visit any association or point of sale you have used so far.

Important:
If you still do not want to use the e-logbook, click the "Cancel" button in the application before purchasing the state ticket and request a paper catch logbook.

Important information about how the application works:

• In offline mode, the application only allows you to present documents and keep a catch log.
• Convenience features, such as purchasing area tickets with maps, are only available online.
• You must re-login to the application every 10 days, which requires an internet connection.
• Before starting fishing, check that you see the necessary documents when you log in to the application, and do not exit the application!

The second part of our MOHOSZ series on using the electronic catch log has been published, showing you how to use the E-log!

Step 1: Start fishing

• The E-log can only be kept in the Horgász app. Open the app and tap the “E-log” menu item to access the catch log interface.
• By clicking the "Start Fishing" button, select the water area where you would like to fish.
• This will automatically mark an "X" in your diary for that day.
• While fishing, you can record the fish you catch in the selected water area, which you can simply select from a drop-down menu.

Step 2: Fixing the grip

• You can record a new catch on the E-log tab.

Important rule:

• You must record fish protected by a quantity limit immediately after catching them.
• It is sufficient to bring in other fish at the end of fishing.

IMPORTANT!

• The system automatically tracks the daily catch limit in accordance with legal requirements.
• However, compliance with the rules set by local water management authorities remains the angler's own responsibility!

Step 3: Fishery inspection

• In the event of a fish guard inspection, you can view and present your recorded catches for the given day in the "Catch" menu item.
• While fishing, you must constantly secure your electronically issued documents – just like your paper ones – via your mobile phone.
• Therefore, always keep your device charged during the entire fishing trip!
• If you can't show your documents at the waterfront, it's as if you don't have them!
