“Doctor fish” arrived in the lakes of Vas County
Based on the native fish stocking program of the Vas County Association of Sport Angling Associations, constantly looking for the opportunity to procure native species, approx. 1100 kg. 3000-3500 pieces - beautiful compo got into the iron waters to our great delight.
The hard-to-obtain, beautiful compos were installed in the following Federally and Member-managed waters by our professional fishermen and volunteers from local associations after deliberation on site:
- Kerkafalva Two-border lake: 50 kg (with the support of Kerkafalva HPP)
- Lake Hársas in Máriaújfalu: 200 kg (with the support of the Szentgotthárd HPP)
- Vasvár lakes: 100 kg (with the support of Vasvár HPP)
- Újperinti I. sz. pond 100 kg (with the support of Spartacus HE)
- Szombathely Boating and Fishing Lake 100 kg (with the support of Elektromosok SHE)
- Iron Cross Alpine Lake 50 kg
- Csánigi mine 100 kg (with the support of the Répcelak Miner's HPP)
- Lake Celldömölk 200 kg (with the support of Celldömölk Locomotive HPP)
- Kőszeg Boating Lake 100 kg (Kőszeg HP own purchase)
- Bük Fishing Lake 100 kg (Bük HE's own purchase)
One of the most beautiful fish species of the Hungarian peaceful fish fauna cannot be confused with any other domestic fish due to its characteristic color, shape and scales.
The association's county fishing order protects this beautiful fish species with a stricter size limit of 30 cm and a limit of 2 pieces per year than the national one, but experience has shown that most of the fishing comrades, after catching the rare fishing prey, gently release the compo into the water.
Let us follow their example and let the new inhabitants of our waters grow and then multiply, so that others can enjoy catching a large specimen!
