BREAKING: Hunting on the lake is prohibited until midnight Monday
Based on the announcement of the Prime Minister on 9 April 2020, the curfew was extended indefinitely - with a weekly review - and the government granted a special permit to the mayors of the settlement, so that on 24 April 2020 (Monday) until 24 o'clock, ie for Easter additional specific, stricter rules.
The Municipality of Hegyhátszentjakab, the owner of Lake Vadása and its reservoir, prohibits tourists from coming to the settlement and visiting Lake Vadása as a tourist attraction in order to protect the inhabitants of the settlement. We would like to draw the attention of our fellow fishermen to the fact that a general ban on fishing will take effect on Lake Vadása and its reservoir from 12.30 am to 10.00 pm on April 10, 2020. The Őrség settlements were asked to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to carry out the measures, which will be strictly monitored after 18:00 on Friday evening.

Dear Population, Dear Guests!
The always hospitable and hospitable settlements of Őrség, including Hegyhátszentjakab (Vadása tó), in the extraordinary epidemiological situation known to all, are forced to make unusual and unpopular decisions in order to reduce the risks to public health. With regard to the flooding of the Vadása lake and the guard, we fully share the absolutely legitimate outrage of a significant part of the local population who have so far complied with the curfew restriction measures and the mayor’s requests in a lawful manner. The tourist flood in an emergency is not compatible with either the "stay home!" slogan, nor a more severe exit restriction regulation.
For all these reasons, we call on our visitors arriving at Lake Vadása and violating the exit restrictions, to leave their accommodation immediately and not to visit our settlement, tourist attractions and public areas now!
We would like to draw the attention of our accommodation providers to the fact that anyone who receives a guest at their accommodation during the curfew is in support of behavior that violates the curfew and engages in illegal behavior. Violation of the exit restriction is punishable by a fine of up to HUF 500,000. We strongly ask and expect our current hosts not to support illegal behavior, but to identify with the preventive behavior of the local community and to be in solidarity with the local community !!!
We asked for the cooperation of law enforcement agencies to take the measures, which will be strictly monitored after 18:00 on Friday night.
Taking into account the local peculiarities, individual municipal measures are also implemented by decree in the settlements of the guard.
At the same time, we ask the local population and relatives not to visit Easter relatives and families in view of the epidemic situation!
I also respectfully ask the local population to avoid visiting Lake Vadása during the holidays as much as possible, taking into account and observing this mayoral measure! Let's protect each other, Let's protect our families, our communities!
