After recording a record 83 tonnes of carp this year, our Association has now continued to plant the fishing waters it manages with native species on Sunday. Based on the needs of our anglers, - in accordance with the fish management plan approved by the authorities for the water areas - our Association is constantly trying to find procurement opportunities for other fish species, so the Vasvári Csónakázó Lake and the Magyarszecsődi gravel mine lake were installed on Sunday.
Delivered by Halászmester Kft. 4000 pcs. annual pikeperch and 230 kg of mixed bream (mainly hoop and bream, and red-winged and warbler) arrived at Vasvár Lakes in the afternoon, where half of the annual pikeperch was weighed and planted, and 230 kg of palm bream was caught in the fishing lake with the help of local anglers.
The other half of the transported quantity (approx. 2,000) of small perch became the new residence of the Magyarszecsőd gravel lake, where we hope that the new spiny-backed inhabitants will also find sufficient food.
During transportation, it was again revealed that procuring bream species and predators in the expected quantity and quality is by no means as simple as many think, so planned installations are often overwritten by everyday reality.
In order to protect the bream stock, which is in excellent condition, but especially the valuable annual perch, we ask our fishermen to gently free any small perch caught in the installed waters from the hook, and to give the installed bream a chance for undisturbed growth and spawning.
Depending on the procurement opportunities, our Association will continue its predator and bream establishment program during October-November, with the support of MOHOSZ Herd Replacement and Development Target Appropriation. Thank you for the help of the participants in the placement of the fish!
