6,000 pre-farmed fast trout arrived in three iron streams

The Vas County Association of Sport Angling Associations placed a total of 6,000 pre-farmed trout in the Gyöngyös and Pinka streams and in the Répce River on Friday.

The trout moved to their new iron home from the farm of György Hoitsy, a breeder in Lillafüred. The fishing guard of the Fejér County Association of Fishermen's Associations also took part in their delivery to the site, and we would like to thank you again!

Following the arrival of the 3-5 cm trout in Vas County, in addition to the Vas fishing guards, several enthusiastic bait anglers joined the installation in order to speed up the deployment. The fish were scattered in several locations on each stream. Maintaining the native fast trout stock in the iron streams is a priority for the Alliance, which is why we ask anglers to protect the young predators of our small streams.

We would like to draw the attention of our fishing companions to the fact that from January 1, 2021, the minimum retention size of the rainbow and rainbow trout in Vas County increased from 25 cm to 30 cm.
