In the month of April, a fishing competition is held several times throughout the county. During the events, full or partial fishing bans will be in effect for anglers who have not entered the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.
The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations orders a fishing ban at the following locations and times in April:
- On April 6, 2024 (Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the designated competition course section for anglers who have not entered the competition due to a fishing competition on the side of Lake Abért II on the side of the Lukácsháza settlement.
- On April 13, 2024 (Saturday) from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a partial fishing ban will be in effect on the Szombathely Boating Lake due to the Spartan Race obstacle race on the left and right 50-meter shorelines of the Sóhajok bridge.
- On April 17, 2024 (Wednesday) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a fishing ban on the Sárvíz lake in Gersekarát due to the demonstration fishing of the school fishing group from the 10th to the 32nd fishing spot! Fishing is allowed in the rest of the lake during this time.
- On April 20, 2024 (Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the side of Lake Abért II on the side of the Lukácsháza settlement, there will be a general ban on the designated competition course section for anglers who have not entered the competition.
- On April 27, 2024 (Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., due to a fishing competition on Lake Abért II, anglers not registered for the competition will be prohibited from the designated competition course section.
- On April 28, 2024 (Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Celldömölk brick factory lake, due to a fishing competition, there will be a general ban on the designated competition course section for anglers who have not entered the competition.
