In the month of May, a fishing competition is held several times throughout the county. During the events, full or partial fishing bans will be in effect for anglers who have not entered the competition. Please always check the current restrictions before you go fishing. In addition to our website, we publish the bans on our Facebook page and, if possible, on the lakeside notice boards.

The Vas County Association of Sport Fishing Associations orders a fishing ban at the following locations and times in the month of May:

On May 01, 2023 (Monday) from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the Kéthatár lake in Kerkaval, due to a fishing competition, for anglers who have not entered the competition.

On May 1, 2023 (Monday) from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers not registered for the competition due to an association fishing competition on Lake Celldömölki.

On May 3, 2023 (Wednesday) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., a general ban will be in effect due to the children's fishing program on the Alpesi lake in Vaskerzeste.

On May 14, 2023 (Sunday) from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition on the Abért I and Abért II lakes due to a fishing competition.

On May 20, 2023 (Saturday) from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the 150-meter shore section of Lake Abért II on the side of the Lukácsháza settlement, due to a private competition for anglers who have not entered the competition.

On May 20, 2023 (Saturday) from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the Árpád út side of the Szombathely fishing pier due to a children's fishing competition.

On May 21, 2023 (Sunday) from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers not registered for the competition due to a children's fishing competition on Lake Rábasömjén.

On May 27, 2023 (Saturday) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers not registered for the competition due to an association fishing competition at the Kéthatár lake in Kerkaval.

On May 28, 2023 (Sunday) from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the Újperint I lake due to an association fishing competition for anglers who have not entered the competition.

On May 28, 2023 (Sunday) from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will be a general ban on the Celldömölki lake for anglers who have not entered the competition due to the Children's Day fishing competition.

On May 28, 2023 (Sunday) from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a general ban for anglers who have not entered the competition due to the Kerka-Holtág Children's Day fishing competition in Kerkaszentkirály.
